Who is Dr. Michelle Henne?

Dr. Michelle Henne MD FAAFP CAQSM is a bilingual Board Certified Sports Medicine Physician who graduated as a prestigious Gold Humanism Honor Society member from the University of South Florida College of Medicine in Tampa. She did her undergraduate training at the University of South Florida as part of an accelerated pre-medical program. After medical school, she completed her residency at Bayfront Health St. Petersburg and her sports medicine fellowship in Orlando. She has worked with high school, college, amateur and professional athletes including those with the MLS, NWSL, Washington Nationals, Kissimmee FireFrogs, a minor league affiliate of the Atlanta Braves, Professional Boxing and UFC, LPGA and Symetra Tour, FINA (International Swimming Federation), FIFA (international soccer federation), US Soccer, USA Boxing, and USA Water Ski and Wake Sports. She is a board member for both Central Florida Physicians Alliance and Polk County Medical Association. Dr. Henne is an affiliated faculty member of Florida Southern College Doctor of Physical Therapy program, the first ever affiliated faculty member of the college. She moved to Winter Haven to provide specialized care in the community where her husband grew up.

Dr. Henne is published in many journals including the American Journal of Orthopedics, Clinical Journal of Sports Medicine, and the 5-Minute Clinical Consult. She has presented at numerous venues, such as the American Medical Society of Sports Medicine, the orthopedic conference at Orlando Health, and the 33rd Annual Colin J. Condron Care of the Sick Child. In her spare time, she enjoys volunteering as a member of the Junior League of Greater Winter Haven and skiing with the Cypress Gardens Water Ski Team. 

Who is Dr. Saundra Holseth?

Dr. Saundra Holseth, a Doctor of Osteopathy, has joined the Releve Sports Medicine team in Winter Haven, Florida. In her role, she serves as a Primary Care Non-Surgical Sports Medicine Specialist. Dr Holseth provides a range of care services that include US guided injections, acute and chronic management of MSK injuries and conditions; along with using Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine to treat MSK ailments.

Dr. Holseth received her degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her residency at Larkin Community Hospital. Dr Holseth was the recipient of the AAO and AOF Osteopathic Resident of the Year award in 2017. Additionally, she underwent a Fellowship in Sports Medicine at NOVA Southeastern University. She holds dual board certifications in Family Medicine and Neuromuscular Medicine, along with a specialty Certification of Added Qualification (CAQ) in Sports Medicine.

Dr. Holseth has presented on various topics such as Mild Traumatic Brain Injury; Osteopathic Approach to Upper Extremity Anatomy, Injuries, Treatment & OMT at the Tampa, Florida FOMA conferences, OMM Techniques at the Internal Medicine practical review and testing session at the Palm Springs Campus Larkin Community Hospital for residents and faculty. Dr Holseth presented OMT for the Sideline Provider in 2024 at OMED San Antonio Tx.  

Furthermore, Dr. Holseth actively participates in the athletic community, serving as a Medical Provider at events such as Amateur MMA and Boxing/kickboxing, US Tennis Association- the Zephyrhills 60k Women's tournaments.  Dr Holseth is an ICR World Rugby certified physician that enjoys covering all levels of rugby events. She also contributes to her community by providing high school and community sports physicals. 

Outside of her professional life, Dr. Holseth enjoys outdoor activities such as fishing, kayaking, and camping. She also has a passion for travel and is in the process of checking off destinations on her bucket list, which includes places like Ireland, Peru, New Zealand, Egypt, and more.
